Outlook Express Properties

1. Open Outlook Express
2. Click on Tools
3. Click Accounts

The next window that you see will have a list of your email accounts. Highlight the email account that you want to revise, and then click on the properties box located on the right.   As shown below:

After clicking on the Properties box you will see the following window showing the mail properties.   Please make sure that the Account name under the Incoming Mail Server line is your “complete email address” and not just your mail box name.   It should be as shown below.   Please make this change in your Email Software Properties (Outlook, Outlook Express, Entourage, etc.).  

If you are using the SMTP of your ISP for sending mail, you will need to put a check mark in the box “My server requires authentication”.     And then click on Settings.   You will need to use the account name and password issued to you by your ISP (for example earthlink.net) as shown in the example below.
